The Tale of Shadows (BFA Diploma) (11 x 18 cm)

The culmination of three years spent studying editorial and book design. This book intertwines two short stories — one from Russia and the other one from Japan — in order to create an object focusing on comparative literature with a little twist.
By folding the corner of the page following the indications, the reader bounces from one story to another. Three folds acting as bridges between the stories, three interruptions, three shadows that get bigger and bigger the further the reader advances in the story, swallowing the page into darkness.
A love letter to literature in general, this object uses the most basic move a reader can do — to turn down the corner of a page — as a way to weave bridges between two stories, two cultures.
